Winooski Bowmen Archery Club

The Winooski Bowmen Archery Club was established August 16, 1962. It features a family membership plan in which the children of members are considered members until they reach the age of 19, at which time they must join on their own if they wish to continue membership. Winooski maintains a closed membership of 80 families. Prospective members must have a club member sponsor them.

Club meetings are held on the first Monday of each month. The club has a 28 target field course, a broadhead target range, an indoor shooting range, a 3-D shooting range, and video archery.

Wisconsin Trappers Association

Some members are certified Hunter Safety Education Instructors. Junior archery leagues as well as adult leagues are very popular.

Winooski is a 101% Wisconsin Bowhunters Association Club.

Each bowhunting season, a Big Buck Contest is held for bow and arrow kills only; the competition is open to the public.

On the Sunday preceding the gun-deer season, a venison dinner, open to the public is held.

Winooski members are strong promoters of good hunting ethics and the sport of archery to the youth and general public.

Winooski supports or has supported: Trees for Tomorrow, Greenwing Day, Evening with the Whitetail, the Outdoor Skills Center, Camp Y-Koda, Outdoor Activity Day, and DU's Great Outdoors weekend.

Winooski has placed fish cribs in Big Elkhart Lake and built and maintains a pier at the Sheboygan County Marsh.
